Taz opens today’s show speaking about last night’s episode of Smackdown Live. He says that the show didn’t really get the job done in his opinion, and there didn’t appear to be a sense of urgency from the creative team for last night’s show at all.
A listener calls in from the UK and says he was live at Smackdown last night, and it was somewhat disappointing in his opinion. The UK audience waited a long time to see this show, and they were shown a lot of video packages with only four actual matches taking place. He also thought it was unfortunate that Smackdown’s six biggest names were all thrown into one 6-man tag team match.
The caller goes on to say that the biggest pops of the night were for Nakamura, A.J. Styles and Tye Dillinger, who competed in a dark match after Smackdown Live’s broadcast concluded.
Another listener calls into the show and asks for Taz’s opinion on the Nakamura/Dolph Ziggler angle. Taz says that he likes this program so far, because he feels Ziggler and Nakamura will have a very good, physical bout when they square off at Backlash. He also thinks Ziggler’s promos have been good, and the tease of physicality between he and Nakamura last night was good.
