Buck informs that he brought DDP in for one of his promotion’s recent shows. He couldn’t believe how well the show went off, and he was happy to have DDP agree to do a signing for him as well. DDP informed Buck that he only signs in gold ink which threw Buck for a loop, but he did his best to accommodate Page. He believes DDP’s recent Hall of Fame induction as well as his overall positivity played factors in his ability to draw big crowds.
Ryback says that he was happy to see Braun Strowman get a big win over Roman Reigns at Payback last Sunday. At this point in his career Reigns is an established talent, and it was a big deal for Strowman to defeat him on a PPV which continued Strowman’s string of momentum.
Buck says he was dissapointed in the House of Horrors match between Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton. He anticipated more horror-inspired elements, but Ryback disagrees in saying he thought both Orton and Wyatt did about as much as they could with that match. He also points out that there were probably a bunch of kids who were terrified by the hanging dolls in the house.
Ryback says that every time wrestlers are forced to wrestle outside of a ring, the business gets exposed. It’s very tough to film these types of matches, and he points out that this match was probably filmed the night before the PPV when the talents arrived in town. This often leads to tired talents who simply aren’t focused on delivering the best possible product.
