Impact Continues To Try To Hold On To Matt Hardy’s “BROKEN” Gimmick

Impact Wrestling hasn’t given up on their plans to keep The Hardy Boyz “BROKEN” gimmick.

According to PWInsider, TNA Entertainment has filed for trademarks on “Broken Matt, Brother Nero, Vanguard1” and “Broken Brilliance” on April 28th. The trademarks are standard character marks for merchandise including DVDs, clothing, posters, and the like, as well as “ongoing wrestling exhibitions” and the usual things that go along with a character mark.

Matt Hardy filed for the trademark nearly two months ago. Impact claims that their contract with The Hardy’s state that they own all IP creations. If this is true, the gimmick couldn’t go with the Hardy’s when they left the company.
