Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Lane.
Russo begins today’s show by giving a shout out to his friend Billy Corgan who is rumoured to be buying the NWA. He says that Corgan went into his TNA run with all the right intentions but got absolutely screwed. He’s happy that Corgan didn’t get completely turned off from the business and has decided to pursue other options because the wrestling business needs people like Corgan.
Russo says that Alexa Bliss has been growing on him for a while, and she took another major step forward with her promo work on Monday night. He says this is a perfect example of the officials and agents having to protect the talents because Bliss was confident and owned the ring, but her promo went on too long.
All eight women ended up having a ‘meaningless’ tag match, and by the time that was over we were already 27 minutes into RAW. This was a very weak open to the show in Russo’s opinion, and other than Bliss’ promo work and eventual victory, this wasn’t good at all.
Russo says there was nothing new to see in the match between Enzo & Luke Gallows. One thing that really bothered him about this match was that Big Cass watched Enzo get destroyed in the ring, and didn’t do anything to protect his friend. Russo feels that WWE’s creative team should have protected Big Cass here, because this presented him in a negative light.
