Russo says that he didn’t understand the finish of the Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe match. He thought both men worked hard throughout the match and there were some stiff kicks to the head, but then the match ended with somewhat of a surprise. He wonders how fans are supposed to take these matches serious when both performers spent 15 minutes kicking out of everything, only for Joe to lose like that.
Russo says that he loves Jinder Mahal, and there’s no need for him to be wearing a turban. He says that this is all Vince McMahon’s doing, and McMahon is still living in an era when The Iron Sheik and Sgt. Slaughter reigned supreme. Russo thinks Mahal has good facials and is a great looking guy, and he’d make a great heel Champion.
Russo’s co-host Jeff Lane thought a Brock Lesnar appearance would have been good at the end of the show, but Russo points out that a Lesnar appearance would have taken away from Strowman’s big victory. Strowman defeating Reigns in that fashion was a big moment for the up-and-coming Superstar, so the spotlight needed to be firmly planted on him at the end of the show.
