A listener calls into the show and asks Taz what happens backstage when the live audience begins chanting ‘CM Punk’ or other things that could be distracting to the talent in the ring. Taz says that although fans pay their hard-earned money to come to these shows, they cannot control the events in the ring. The performers must be in control of the audience 100% of the time.
For this reason, Vince McMahon hates when talents single out individual fans and that’s why you never see that on WWE television. On occasion a performer may make a snarky remark to the audience as a whole, but even that is a rarity in WWE because by doing that, you encourage the audience to continue.
Taz liked that Jinder Mahal attacked Orton at Payback as well to continue their heat with each other. Taz didn’t expect this but he thought it was a nice touch. He also says that it doesn’t matter in his mind that Mahal’s win/loss record hasn’t been great since his return, because he looks legit and he’s a heel who’s garnering a lot of heat lately. Taz stresses that he wouldn’t be surprised one bit if Mahal defeats Orton to become the new WWE Champion.
That sums up today’s episode of The Taz Show. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
