Womens wrestling in WWE has taken a fantastic turn over the past few years. Moving away from the age of bra and panties matches and PUPPIES and into an era of fantastic, show stealing action proving women can be on par with or better than men in the art of professional wrestling. 2016 was a banner year for the division. Three of the best women wrestlers ever stole Wrestlemania. The two best in WWE today main evented a PPV and had the first ever women’s Hell in a Cell match. 2017 is so far, and will continue being another special year.
On RAW and Smackdown Live since the brand split both divisions have shone in different ways. RAW has focused on its stars who have carried the brand and been the absolute best. Meanwhile, Smackdown has given equality to most performers and been the ‘land of opportunity’. Smackdown has arguably outperformed RAW in terms of the booking of the women. However, since the ‘Superstar Shakeup’ the layout of each women’s roster has altered. The Queen’s of the respective mountains are changing with the position becoming far more competitive. Along with this the rosters have become arguably more equal in terms of star power and quality.
With these changes comes the opportunity for fresh, exciting and excellent new feuds and rivalries to arise. With that, this list looks at the 6 best potential first time women feuds in WWE between now and Wrestlemania 34. Quick point, Paige is not on this list. As fantastic a wrestler as she is her current situation leaves little room to think she will return to action this year.
