The caller also points out that Vince McMahon is a genius, and he certainly understands that the audience does not want to see Reigns presented as a face. At this point, McMahon is probably refusing to turn reigns heel out of pure spite.
Taz says that he has been an advocate for turning Reigns heel for a long time, but obviously WWE has their own plans in mind for Reigns.
He points out that WWE has shown in the past that they aren’t afraid to turn a Superstar heel if something isn’t working. For example, they turned The Rock during the attitude, and more recently they turned both Neville and T.J. Perkins. Turning someone heel to freshen up their character has been an age old practice in the wrestling business, and it will continue to be as long as the business exists.
