Ross says that there are some rumours circulating right now that have tied WWE to former UFC announcer Mike Goldberg. Other rumours suggested that Ross’ relationship with Goldberg will help WWE sign Goldberg, but Ross informs that he doesn’t know Goldberg. He only met him once and he likes his work, but he has no real relationship with Goldberg whatsoever.
Ross says he exchanged text messages with Jinder Mahal last week after he became the number one contender for the WWE Championship. Ross says he can recall talking to Dusty Rhodes about Mahal when he was just a recruit at WWE’s developmental territory, and they both thought Mahal had a chance to be a dynamite heel at some point in the future. It looks like WWE has finally agreed with them.
Ross is just happy that Mahal is getting an opportunity. He has gotten himself into great shape, and as far as Ross knows, he’s a hard working kid who’s well respected in the locker room. In Ross’ mind, Mahal has paid his dues and he’s really pulling for Mahal to have a successful run.
