Lawler is joined on today’s show by his co-host Glenn Moore.
Lawler informs that he’s going to be doing the pre-show for Payback this coming Sunday, and then he will be doing RAW Talk on the following Monday night.
Following up on last week’s episode, this week Lawler will discuss his initial match with Andy Kaufman.
After wrestling women in all types of venues for months, Kaufman first wrestled women in front of a live crowd in Memphis and got all kinds of heat with the live audience. Lawler eventually jumped into the ring one night and pushed Kaufman after he defeated one woman, and Kaufman cut a promo on the spot. This gave Lawler the idea to turn this into an angle, and promote a match between him and Kaufman.
Lawler formally issued a challenge on Memphis television, and Kaufman soon did an interview accepting the challenge. In this promo, Kaufman ridiculed Lawler’s Southern accent, and gave Lawler a preview of what was to come by wrestling a woman on the spot. After ‘hurting’ the woman, Kaufman said that he didn’t care because she was poor and wouldn’t be able to sue him.
