Bischoff is joined on today’s show by his co-host Nick Hausman.
Bischoff comments on the rumours that ‘Eric Bischoff’ may make an appearance in the newly announced Vince McMahon biopic. He says that he hasn’t really given any thought to it, but if they do indeed hire an actor to portray him in the movie he thinks that’d be pretty neat.
McMahon had a rough childhood and his home life was not good. He met his biological father later in life and started to take the reigns on the family business. You add that real life backstory to McMahon’s success in the wrestling and entertainment business, and you have the makings of a great biopic.
Hausman points out that the casting director for this movie is going to have a rough time trying to cast iconic personas such as McMahon, The Rock, Hulk Hogan and even Bischoff. Bischoff says that The Rock is one of the best actors in Hollywood right now, so he’s sure that WWE might be able to reach an agreement with him to get him to play himself in the movie.
Hulk Hogan could also play himself, but if the film makers want to go back to an earlier timeline they’d need to find a younger actor to portray Hogan, and Bischoff admits that might be a tough role to nail down.
