Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Lane.
Russo says he got his download numbers from PodcastOne this past week and he was completely blown away by the response from fans since he started talking about professional wrestling again. He says he got away from what his fans wanted for a while and he had to practice what he preached. The attitude era was all about giving the fans what they wanted, and he wants his show to be that way as well.
For the last two weeks, Russo has dedicated a show to ‘castrating the marks’. On this show, he attempts to expose the wrestling journalists who are charging fans money for information that is supposed to be legit, when in reality they’re just spreading rumours.
Lane plays a clip of Mark Madden, who’s discussing WWE’s current booking of The Hardy Boyz. Madden says that RAW two weeks ago had too much happening to give The Hardys any real screen time, but this week’s show felt perfect to put a spotlight on The Hardys.
Russo says the problem with all these ‘journalists’ is that they talk like what they’re saying is fact, when it simply is not. All they need to do to fix this problem is start these discussions with, “In my opinion..”. He thinks it’s hilarious that Mark Madden is trying to tell WWE how to book shows since he doesn’t have an ounce of experience in the business.
