Vince Russo’s The Brand Recap – Raw Analysis, Getting it Right with Strowman, Sasha Banks in the Doghouse? More!

From the backstage promo with The Hardys, it’s obvious that WWE is not moving forward with the ‘Broken’ characters which is unfortunate. Russo says he will give WWE the benefit of the doubt in this case, because perhaps they’re planning on transitioning into those gimmicks at some point in the future.

He felt Matt and Jeff’s promo was the most scripted promo on the show. He knows what Jeff Hardy is capable of from their time working together in TNA, and these scripted promos are not playing to his strengths. Russo says this promo was clearly written for children.

In Russo’s opinion, Sasha Banks is definitely in the dog house. He points out that WWE was putting so much time and money into her, and all of a sudden that came to a screeching halt. Banks now finds herself fourth on the totem pole in the RAW’s women division.

Overall, Russo says that the ring’s collapse was a great spot and a great way to end the show, but that doesn’t make up for the first 2 and a half hours of the show. This was not a good episode of RAW in his opinion, and he believes the television ratings will back that up when they’re released.

That sums up today’s episode of Vince Russo’s The Brand. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
