Bischoff is joined on today’s show by his co-host Nick Hausman.
Bischoff opens today’s show speaking about the untimely passing of former WWE Superstar Matt ‘Rosey’ Anoa’i. Bischoff says that Rosey was a kind, gentle and classy person, and he was very sad to hear the news of his passing. He got to work with Rosey for just a little bit, and it was a very enjoyable experience. He sends his thoughts and prayers to the entire Anoa’i family.
Bischoff comments on the news that The Rock’s new movie, The Fate of the Furious, broke records this past weekend with it’s opening at the box office. He calls bulls*** on the rumoured feud between The Rock and Vin Diesel, and he thinks that whole thing was setup so they could pay it off at WrestleMania this year.
WrestleMania would have been just a couple weeks before the movie’s opening, and this would have been a natural way for them to promote the film. In Bischoff’s opinion, at some point WWE, The Rock and Diesel decided against the idea, and they just decided to squash their supposed issues with each other.
Hausman mentions that WWE failed to reach an International distribution deal with FOX for distribution in the Philippines and he asks Bischoff if he thinks that’s a negative for WWE. Bischoff says this isn’t a big deal for WWE at all since the Philippines market probably doesn’t even move the needle on an International scale.
