Bischoff is joined on today’s show by his co-host Nick Hausman.
Bishoff says that he had a terrific time in Orlando for WrestleMania week. He was thrilled to induct DDP into the WWE Hall of Fame on Friday night, and he says that he had a pivotal role since he had to give the first speech on the show. He hadn’t been in front of a crowd like that in an awfully long time, and he actually expected to get booed by the WWE audience.
He thought about it beforehand, and he was planning on slipping right into the Eric Bischoff heel character if the crowd booed him, just to really play up that moment. To his surprise, the crowd cheered him and seemed very excited to see him back with WWE in some capacity. He admits that those chants really touched him.
Bischoff informs that he filmed an episode of ‘Dinner for 3’ for the WWE Network with Jim Cornette and Michael P.S. Hayes over this past weekend. He admits that there has been some friction between he and Cornette in the past, and this episode turned out to be a very interesting experience.
He thought that WWE and The Hardy Boyz did a great job keeping their return to WWE quiet. The shock and awe factor certainly bolstered the reaction that they received on Sunday night, and fans were obviously thrilled to see these guys return to WWE.
