The Taz Show Recap – Nakamura Rises, Strategic Debuts by WWE This Week, Reigns Heading to Smackdown? More!

Block 4:

A listener calls into the show and asks Taz if he thinks Roman Reigns should be moved to Smackdown Live, where he can potentially pair up with his cousins, The Usos. Taz says that he definitely would not move Reigns to Smackdown Live at this point. Reigns just had a massive torch passed to him by retiring The Undertaker at WrestleMania, and now he appears to be entering into a lengthy program with Brock Lesnar.

Taz thinks that it would be a massive error for WWE to include Reigns in any form of stable or faction at this point. Reigns is positioned as a massive singles star and whether he’s a heel or a babyface, that’s not going to change anytime soon. He does hope that moving forward, WWE doesn’t oversaturate Reigns on their programming.

A listener calls into the show and asks Taz who he thinks, if anyone, will overtake Ric Flair’s record for Championship reigns. Cena is now tied with Flair with 16 wins, but Taz doesn’t anticipate WWE putting the Title on Cena anymore at this point. He admits that he may be wrong, but it feels as if Cena has moved on from being in that spot at this point in his career.

That sums up today’s episode of The Taz Show. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
