The Taz Show Recap – Nakamura Rises, Strategic Debuts by WWE This Week, Reigns Heading to Smackdown? More!

Block 3:

A listener calls into the show and says that he really enjoyed the entire WrestleMania weekend. He was particularly happy with The Revival’s debut on Monday Night RAW, and the fact that they showed their true colours as heels by attacking Kofi Kingston at the end of their match. Taz says that debut was well done, and he also thinks WWE maximized their opportunity by having The Revival debut in Orlando.

Along with the debut of Tye Dillinger and Nakamura, The Revival were showcased in front of a very hot crowd in Orlando, where they’ve worked for months with NXT. This guaranteed that those talents would receive a major pop from the live crowd, which would make them appear as major Superstars to everyone watching from their homes, who may have not seen NXT before.

Another listener calls into the show and asks Taz if he thinks Vince McMahon would ever consider opening a WWE-themed amusement park, given their connection to Orlando and the recent ‘Ultimate Thrill Ride’ tagline that they used for WrestleMania. Taz says that the caller makes an interesting point, and he doesn’t put anything past Vince McMahon because the man is a marketing genius.

He says that this will not come as a surprise to anybody, but McMahon has always looked at the business as more than just two guys competing in a ring. McMahon has always wanted to take the business out of smoke-filled bingo halls, and over the last 30 years he has certainly accomplished that.
