Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Lane and Glenn Gilbertti (Disco Inferno).
Russo admits that Gilbertti’s recent criticisms of him have made him think about a few things. When Russo decided to stop watching and covering wrestling a few months ago, he did so because he was tired of wasting his time being negative about the current product.
Gilbertti has been very critical of him recently saying that Russo has turned his back on his loyal fanbase, who love to hear him talk about professional wrestling. While Russo shot down this notion at first, he now admits that Gilbertti might be correct and he thanks Gilbertti for that honest criticism.
Russo says that things are going to completely change on his show moving forward. If people want to hear him talk about wrestling, he’s going to talk about wrestling. However, some people might be sorry that they pushed him to this point because he’s not going to hold anything back. He plans on taking soundbites from WWE programming and discussing it on his show, with the intention of explaining how miserable the segments are.
He also says that he’s going to expose a lot of the ‘stupid’ dirt sheet writers such as Meltzer, Alvarez, Keller, Satin and ‘ugly’ Mike Johnson. He says that those guys are going to supply the content for his shows, because he plans on taking soundbites from their audio shows where they recap WWE programming, and he will explain how stupid their opinions are.
