The Taz Show Recap: Post-WrestleMania Special – Hardys are Home, New Champions, Undertaker Says Goodbye, More!
Taz opens his post-WrestleMania Special just as the Universal Title match between Goldberg and Lesnar comes to an end. He thought the match was incredibly physical, and was built around just a few unique moves. We saw spears, suplexes, jackhammers and F5s, all in a matter of 6-7 minutes. Taz thought this was the perfect way to book this match and he enjoyed it.
The Smackdown Live ladies begin their entrances for the Women’s Title match. Taz admits that this is a tough spot on the card for this match, but it’s the perfect placement for it in his opinion. Positioning this match in between Lesnar/Goldberg & Undertaker/Reigns was the perfect ‘bumper’ to let the audience back down a bit, before we see what could potentially be The Undertaker’s final match.
Taz says he was thrilled to see Matt and Jeff Hardy return to WWE last night. It was an incredible surprise, and he popped big time when The Hardys’ theme music hit. A listener calls into the show and says he wasn’t surprised by The Hardys’ return, but he was surprised to see them capture the Titles. Taz says if The Hardys were going to return in that spot, they had to emerge victorious with the Tag Team Titles.
He says that while he has been critical of The New Day’s antics in the past, he’s very happy with how they’ve been sprinkled throughout WrestleMania this evening. They haven’t been over-utilized and their appearances have been impactful, both in opening the show and by introducing the returning Hardys.
