Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Lane and Glenn Gilbertti (Disco Inferno).
Russo opens today’s show speaking about the passing of Jan Ross, wife of Jim Ross. Russo says he can’t even imagine what Ross is going through right now and his heart is breaking for him, but Ross has millions of fans around the world that are praying for him and will have his back through the coming days.
Russo comments on the news that Jim Cornette will be returning to WWE to induct the Rock N’ Roll Express into the Hall of Fame next weekend. Russo imagines that Cornette agreed to return to WWE for 2 reasons. The first reason is he’s getting paid, and the second reason is that he hopes that the Midnight Express will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame one day.
Perhaps Cornette felt that if he turned down this opportunity he would hurt the Midnight Express’ chances of ever getting inducted. If this is the case, Russo thinks that was a very respectable thing to do. Gilbertti says that the Midnight Express is arguably the best tag team of all time, and they should already be Hall of Famers. He also says that Jim Cornette should be in the Hall of Fame, and Russo agrees entirely.
Russo mentions that he was on X-Pac’s podcast last week, where he was very critical of Kevin Owens. He called Owens overweight and lazy, and after he finished the show he realized how close Owens is to Triple H. Triple H is also very close with X-Pac, so he hopes that he didn’t get X-Pac in hot water by saying those things on his show.
