Ryback is joined on today’s show by his co-host Pat Buck.
Ryback talks about how difficult it can be working in different size rings on the independent scene. He says that it’s nearly impossible for him to work in 16 foot rings. He says that 16 foot rings simply weren’t meant for big guys. His favourite size ring are the 20 foot rings, and he says that the WWE ring spoiled him because they’re consistent night in and night out in terms of size and rope tightness.
Ryback says that getting cheered by the 18-34 year old demographic has always been a struggle for him, and he thinks that has a lot to do with his physical appearance. He feels like that demographic loves to hate on big, jacked guys. On the other hand, kids and parents have always gravitated towards him.
Speaking about the Goldberg & Lesnar match at WrestleMania, Ryback says that this match is a mainstream draw and that’s what WrestleMania is all about. This match will captivate the casual fan much easier than a match featuring two ‘stronger’ workers who have no mainstream appeal. He says that WWE can do whatever they want creatively with this match, even if that means having Lesnar squash Goldberg this time.
