Talk is Jericho Recap w/ Haku – Teaming with Andre the Giant, Working in Mexico, WCW Program with Goldberg, More!
He says the only thing that he looks back on negatively about his time in WCW, is the fact that he was built up so good, only to get beat cleanly by Goldberg. He felt in their first match especially, they could have had Hulk Hogan or someone else get involved to prevent a clean finish. This would have allowed for a lengthier, more competitive feud.
Haku informs that Goldberg really liked working with him because he worked a believable, MMA style in the ring, and this was the same way that Goldberg liked to work. Unfortunately for Meng, this also meant that he was losing a lot, because Goldberg was in the middle of his undefeated streak at that time.
Haku informs that he hasn’t missed wrestling yet, and he’s happy with how his career unfolded. His goal was to better the business as best he could, and help the younger generation of performers transition into successful careers of their own. Jericho says that Haku’s legacy in the business is that he was universally loved by all of his peers, and Jericho has never heard one person say a bad thing about Haku.
That sums up today’s episode of Talk is Jericho. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya next week for another recap!
