Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Lane.
Russo informs that he’s ‘all for’ the recent storytelling in some of WWE’s angles. He likes that Mick Foley got his revenge on Stephanie McMahon and Triple H last week on RAW, and he’s intrigued by the Shane McMahon/A.J. Styles program as well. However, this doesn’t mean he’s going to give WWE’s product another chance.
He’s a fan of anything that means less fake fighting and more drama, but WWE abused his trust a long time ago and he’s too far gone as a fan to give them another chance at this point.
Russo talks about the fact that Sasha Banks only recently admitted that she was married on Lillian Garcia’s podcast. Banks says she kept her marriage to herself because she didn’t want fans making fun of her husband’s appearance. Russo thought that Banks’ description of this situation was strange, as she basically referred to her husband as ugly herself.
Either way, he thinks it’s ridiculous that any performer would feel hesitant to admit they’re married based on a fear of fans’ reaction. He says that fans need to wake up and open their eyes before saying some of this stuff, but he realizes that that’ll never happen.
