The Taz Show Recap – Smackdown Analysis, Mauro Ranallo’s No-Show, Styles & Shane Deliver, More!

Block 3:

Taz welcomes Mike Johnson from PWInsider to the show.

Taz didn’t like transition from 205 Live into Talking Smack last night. Johnson agrees and he thinks that Talking Smack is looser on the production points than Smackdown and RAW. He believes that this allows for more open conversation, which in turn leads to a more entertaining show than RAW Talk.

Taz thinks there’s a fine line between ‘shooting’ and ‘working’, and it feels like talents are always straddling this line on Talking Smack. He also doesn’t like the on-air chemistry of Renee Young and Daniel Bryan, and in his opinion Renee Young is too strong of a personality to be hosting that show.

Johnson mentions that Daniel Bryan fired A.J. Styles on Smackdown Live, but at the end of the show Shane McMahon informed that he’s going to be wrestling Styles at WrestleMania. Johnson wonders where this leaves Styles after ‘Mania, and he suggests that perhaps a move from Smackdown Live to RAW is in order for Styles.

Johnson informs that he was at WWE’s MSG live event this past weekend where John Cena and Bray Wyatt had an exceptional 20 minute match. In this match, Bray Wyatt pinned Cena clean, marking the first time that Cena was pinned clean in MSG since 2003. Johnson was very surprised by this but he thinks it’s a great way to help get over Bray Wyatt’s Title run.
