Ryback is joined on today’s show by his co-host Pat Buck.
Ryback informs that he watched the entire Fastlane PPV last Sunday night and he thought it was a pretty good show. He says that Goldberg looks very impressive physically, but there’s no denying that he’s getting up there in age. Goldberg has still pulled off his character’s traits very well, and that’s a credit to his training and dedication.
Even thought Ryback is happy for Goldberg, he doesn’t understand why WWE brought Goldberg back at this point in time and he wonders if it had anything to do with him leaving. While that may sound petty, Ryback says that fans don’t understand the things WWE does sometimes, and Goldberg’s return could in part be a jab against him.
Buck feels that WWE has positioned Goldberg better than the majority of their roster as of late and while that’s good in one sense, it makes you wonder why they can’t book some of their younger, full-time talents this way.
Ryback agrees and says WWE has played to Goldberg’s strengths during this return, and they have protected him by not having him wrestle 20-minute matches. Ryback is sure that Goldberg and Lesnar will not be putting on a lengthy match at WrestleMania, and he expects some shenanigans during that bout.
