Blocks 3 & 4:
Taz welcomes new ROH World Champion Christopher Daniels to the show.
Daniels says that holding his Championship today, he realizes how much he wanted this ever since he started his wrestling career many years ago. Taz says that Daniels is one of the ‘good guys’ in the business, and he has truly sacrificed for a long period of time in order to get to the place he is today.
Daniels admits that the promo that he cut prior to the match was emotional because it was real. He was legitimately a bag of nerves for months prior to this PPV, because he had a lot riding on this match. Taz says that promo was spectacular, and it was evident how much the match meant to him.
Taz says that the finish to the match was very well executed, and the live audience ‘popped’ big time when Daniels picked up the win. Daniels says that was obviously a special moment, and he was thrilled to have the live audience react the way they did to his big victory.
Daniels says that the rise in ROH’s popularity over the last few years is in large part due to the quality of their in-ring work. He believes ROH has been compared favourably to ECW, in the sense that the locker room cares so much about the wrestling product that they’re willing to do whatever it takes to increase viewership and make fans want to tune into ROH.
