Blocks 1 & 2:
Taz begins today’s show by sending congratulations out to new ROH World Champion Christopher Daniels, who had an unbelievable match with Adam Cole for the ROH Championship this past weekend. He says that Daniels was visibly emotional before and after the match, and the promo he cut before the match was sincere.
Taz has been in that position, where you work for so many years and you finally overcome all the ‘bullshit’ that accompanies being a performer in the wrestling business, to finally capture a Championship and there’s no better feeling in the world.
He points out that Seth Rollins sent out a congratulatory tweet to Daniels after the match, and this is a rare thing for WWE Superstars to do. Taz isn’t sure if Rollins had to clear that with WWE, but he was surprised to see that. He doesn’t agree with WWE’s monitoring of their talents’ social media accounts, but it’s a thing that happens, and WWE tends to shut those kinds of tweets down.
A listener calls into the show and asks Taz if he believes being a heel or a babyface has anything to do with WWE’s social media policy, because we didn’t see a congratulatory tweet from heels like A.J. Styles or Samoa Joe. Taz says he doesn’t believe that’s the case at all.
