Bischoff opens today’s show speaking about the Montreal Screwjob. He says similar to the Kennedy assassination, no matter how many ways you look at it the pieces just don’t quite fit together the way they should, which always leaves room for speculation. Bischoff can’t say whether it was a work or not, and he believes the only people who know that are the people who were involved.
Bischoff speaks about the news that ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017. He says that Rude was a very chill person who was fun to be around, but once he put his boots on he became very intense. He thinks Rude’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame is long overdue.
He thinks it’s phenomenal that Goldberg is the current WWE Universal Champion. He gives a tremendous amount of credit to Goldberg and says it’s a testament to his ability that he has been able to stay relevant for the past 2 decades.
Bischoff points out that the audience wants Kevin Owens to succeed, and that makes WWE’s decision masterful. WWE can resurrect Owens at any point they want and push him right back to the top of the card. He urges fans to have patience with WWE’s decision here because it’s only a matter of time before Owens returns to the main event picture.
