Russo addresses a tweet he received recently, in which the person said Russo is bitter because he’s not in the wrestling business anymore. Russo says this person is an imbecile because that remark is simply not true. Russo was a huge fan of the business when he was growing up and while he worked in the business, but nowadays the business has changed and he’s simply not a fan of the product anymore. He’s not bitter with the wrestling business at all, but he’s definitely dissapointed.
Russo welcomes Shawn Stasiak to the show.
During his time working with Stasiak in WCW, Russo considered him a blue-chip, can’t miss talent. Like a lot of people, Stasiak was put into the WCW machine and they spit him out. Fortunately, it was a good thing they did in this case because Stasiak was able to go on to bigger and better things in life.
Russo says that Stasiak appears to be getting younger. It’ll be 17 years since Stasiak competed for WCW/WWE and he’ll be turning 47 years old this year, but Russo says he looks absolutely terrific. Stasiak laughs and says he might not look his age but he certainly feels it some days. He can remember old timers telling him how fast the time goes when he was a young talent in the business years ago and he shrugged at that. Now all these years later he’s realizing how truthful those comments were.
