As seen at WWE Fastlane, Rusev faced The Big Show in an impromptu match in a losing effort on the show. The finish of the bout saw Rusev take three chokeslams and knockout punch. While Bryan Alvarez suggested on Wrestling Observer Live that Rusev may be under heat with WWE officials, that may not be the case.
While speaking one of our readers at a recent WWE Live Event, The Big Show was asked about the finish to the Fastlane match where he destroyed Rusev. Big Show claims that the reason the match went down the way it did is because Rusev is about to undergo shoulder surgery.
While WWE has yet to make any mention the surgery, it’s worth pointing out that Rusev recently mentioned on Instagram that he won’t be lifting weights for the foreseeable future, which ties in with Big Show’s surgery claim.
In Bulgaria they say The rest makes the champion. It's time to take time off working out. 30 days and counting.
