The Taz Show Recap – Impact Wrestling Analysis, Josh Matthews’ Heat, Who Encouraged Taz to Start Announcing? More!
Taz takes some listeners questions to open today’s show.
A caller asks Taz who he would choose to portray him in a movie, if he could pick any actor to do so. Taz says he would choose Robert De Niro to portray him because he considers De Niro to be the best actor in the world. He jokes that him and De Niro look quite similar so he assumes De Niro could pull off the Taz character very easily.
Another caller points out that Taz suffered multiple injuries throughout his lengthy career, and he asks Taz if he ever considered retiring due to injuries at any point earlier on in his career. Taz informs that he tore his bicep on RAW one night, and although he knew he’d come back from that injury he began thinking about the future.
He began doing some part-time commentary while he was still an in-ring competitor, and soon after he would receive an offer from WWE to become a full-time commentator. He was hesitant at first, but his wife wife urged him to take WWE’s offer because his in-ring career wasn’t going to last forever, and it was a good opportunity to extend his career in the business and beyond.
