Talk is Jericho Recap w/ Tony Condello – Promoting ‘Northern Death Tours’, Origins of the ‘Roddy Piper’ Character, Helping Vince McMahon, More!

Jericho is joined on today’s show by legendary Canadian wrestling promoter Tony Condello, and former WWE/ECW talent Don Callis (Cyrus).

Condello informs that throughout his illustrious career, he has trained and promoted shows with future stars such as Edge, Christian, Lance Storm, Test, Jericho, Callis, Rhyno and more. When Lance Storm heard that Condello was going to be on this podcast, he told Callis to remind Condello that he still owes him $450 from their time working together years ago, and Condello admits that to be true.

Condello says that Storm told him to forget about that money a long time ago, but after Condello decided to not take some of Storm’s wrestling students on one of his tours, Storm seemed to hold a grudge against him. Storm sent out a tweet saying that Condello still owes him $450 years after this issue was seemingly addressed, and this frustrated Condello.

Condello promoted what Edge appropriately named the ‘Northern Death Tours’. He started those tours in 1974 and aimed the wrestling shows at the local children, in an attempt to keep them entertained, in school, and out of trouble.
