As seen at Sunday’s WWE Fastlane event, Rusev faced The Big Show in an impromptu match in a losing effort on the show. The finish saw Rusev take three chokeslams and knockout punch. This outcome was discussed by Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio.

Meltzer questioned that someone in WWE could possibly be mad at Rusev, which is why Big Show was booked to dominate most of the match and it ended the way it did. Alvarez hinted that Rusev could possibly have heat with officials after he cut all his hair off. Dave is unsure but found it odd the way he was booked.

Meltzer suggested that the company may have something ‘big planned’ for The Big Show at WrestleMania, presumably in the Andre Memorial Battle Royal.(Shaq match may be off) If that is the case, the company would want Big Show going into Mania looking strong.
