As previously noted, The Hardy Boyz announced that they have signed a deal with Ring of Honor after they defeated The Young Bucks for the Tag Titles at the Manhattan Mayhem VI event Saturday night. Our original report speculated that they may have signed a short deal because ROH was only advertising them for dates leading up until WrestleMania 33.

According to Dave Meltzer, The Hardy Boyz won’t be appearing inside a WWE anytime soon. It was reported on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that their deal is not a short-term deal and they are signed with Ring of Honor for the near future, although the exact length is unknown at this time.

Meltzer also noted that part of the reason The Hardys inked a deal with ROH had to do with the company allowing them creative control and the opportunity to work independent dates as well. Impact Wrestling wanted to keep The Hardys on a leash and take a cut of their profits for working independent dates.
