Taz opens today’s show speaking about the closing segment of Smackdown Live last night. He thought it was a cool segment which featured good creative and phenomenal execution by both Orton and Wyatt. If he had one suggestion, it would be that WWE should have used a more ‘grainy’ filter on their camera when shooting Orton’s scenes, almost ‘Blair Witch’ style.
Taz also mentions that Orton’s approach last night has led to a lot of fans feeling sorry for Bray Wyatt. Taz thinks that Wyatt needs to do something extreme next week in order to re-establish some heel heat on Orton. Taz suggests that Wyatt blindside Orton next week and beat him, with the Universal Title front and centre.
Taz has been pretty vocals over the years in thinking that most everything in the entertainment industry is a work. A listener calls into the show and asks Taz if he thinks the Montreal Screwjob was a work. The caller points out that in the ‘Wrestling with Shadows’ documentary, there appears to be a lot of behind the scenes footage for an event which was supposedly real, and developing spontaneously at that time.
Taz admits that he’d love to re-watch that documentary now, but he goes out on a limb and calls the Montreal Screwjob a work anyways.
