Major Changes to How Impact Pays It’s Talents — More Departures Coming

There is a good chance that we may see even more departures within Impact Wrestling as the new owners make changes over the next couple of months. We have already seen Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Reby Sky, Drew Galloway, Mike Bennett, Maria Kanellis and Jade all leave the company within the past week because of contract negotiation disputes.

PWInsider reports that more departures could be coming as there are several other talents who have been asked about locking themselves into new deals. Impact is looking for individuals that are going to commit to them and are willing to part company with those who won’t. EC3, Bobby Lashley, Moose, Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards are Eli Drake are already locked into deals.

Impact Wrestling is also changing the way talents are paid. Talents were previously paid per episode and now they will be paying talents per date instead. What the means is if an individual works four dates but record twelve episodes, they will only be paid for four dates.

Talents will also only be able to work outside bookings if they are approved by the company. If the booking is approved, 10% of that talents earnings would go to Impact. There is also changes being made to the way royalties are paid.
