WWE has a lot of die-hard fans, but there will always be those critics. Even the most loyal, like Jerry Lawler have to admit that there are glaring problems with the company’s product.

WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry Lawler recently made an appearance on Busted Open Radio, where the former commentator shared his thoughts on the current state of WWE.

Lawler revealed that it would be brutal to be a commentator at the moment, since the product is too short. This is in reference to the fact that the WWE roster has been changing too frequently, making it “brutal to have to know and remember” the talent.

I just got my schedule to be at Survivor Series, and so it’s almost like cramming for an exam back when you were at school. I really have to go back and watch some shows, and make some notes, and find out what is actually going on.

Lawler also went on to state that wrestling itself has not changed, instead blaming this change on society, claiming that fans have “got a short attention span now.”

You have to keep this here show so exciting every minute that people are watching or they’re going to switch over and start watching TikTok. It’s changed in that respect, and sometimes for me, it’s hard to follow.

Lawler also seemed to allude to “cancel culture” when discussing the end of his commentary career, stating that him mistakenly calling a move “Ramen Noodle Moonsault” had him labelled as “the biggest racist ever.”

It certainly seems like Lawler has a bone to pick with the current state of WWE. Some of his claims are hard to deny, especially now that WWE has been letting go of lot of wrestlers and bringing in more and more fresh faces.
