Dave Meltzer commented on WWE’s current television contract negotiations on Wrestling Observer Live when it was pointed out that the new contracts wouldn’t go into effect until Fall 2019.

“They do want to sign all these deals by September if not earlier.”

So although we won’t actually see Raw or SmackDown Live leave or stay with USA Network for over a year from now, WWE wants to know what’s going on by September. But odds are SmackDown Live will be taking off, it’s just matter of where.
