Nigel McGuiness Confirms He Won’t Compete At AEW All In

Nigel McGuinness was one of the most exciting superstars to make a name for themselves in Ring of Honor. The former WWE color commentator is also known to hang in the ring with the likes of Bryan Danielson, Jimmy Rave, and Chris Hero. Now it appears that he won’t be competing at AEW All In.

McGuinness has provided commentary for both ROH and AEW Collision, but fans continue to wonder whether he will actually return to the squared circle. After all, reports suggested that he had been taking measures to try to return to the ring.

While speaking to Tempest of Wrestletalk, Nigel McGuiness was asked if he would compete at AEW All In. McGuiness made it clear he won’t be competing at the event and made it clear Bryan Danielson’s in-ring absence is a reason why.

No. You’re not the first person to ask that. I will not be wrestling because clamdigger Bryan Danielson, or clamdigger Brittle Danielson, as some people are calling him nowadays, is not on the card, so there is not really any match for me. I do believe I’m far better off as a commentator anyway. I’m so excited for so many matches and to be in that environment where I was 31 years ago, it’s very heartfelt for me to go back there.”

Nigel McGuiness’ last match took place in December 2011, while his last televised bout was in September 2010 against Stevie Richards on TNA Xplosion. It is to be noted that Nigel McGuiness is still afraid he would kill himself in the ring if he actually wrestled again. Regardless, fans are certainly disappointed Nigel McGuiness won’t be competing in the ring at AEW All In.
