Kota Ibushi might be one of the most beloved stars in pro wrestling but his performance over the past year has left a lot to be desired.  At the beginning of this year, he was part of one of the worst matches in NOAH history, and Ibushi has now accused a clinic of using illegal substances while scamming him.

At Pro Wrestling NOAH’s ‘The New Year 2024’ main event, Naomichi Marufuji and Kota Ibushi fought for over 30 minutes. Despite an injury scare when Ibushi grabbed his ankle after an attempted moonsault to the outside, he powered through the match and won in the end.

The match was widely panned, with numerous fans noting that Kota Ibushi appeared to be dealing with various injuries throughout the entire match. It didn’t help that Ibushi was rushed to the hospital after the bout after breaking his ankles.

Kota Ibush would then claim that he got scammed by clinic before his match. In a now-deleted tweet, Kota Ibushi gave more details about the C5 clinic that scammed him, as he accused the clinics of taking tons of money from him and using marijuana, which is illegal in Japan.

As for the details of the C5 clinic scam that I mentioned before, it starts with an IV drip, but when it doesn’t work midway through, they bring a strange powder (marijuana) without permission, so isn’t this a problem for the police? This is a fraudulent clinic that operates in Asakusabashi and all over the country. Please be careful as it will take about 200,000 yen per time.”

Kota Ibushi’s extensive injuries after the match were also revealed. Kota Ibushi already confirmed he would be undergoing surgery. Only time will tell whether Ibushi will be back better than ever after his surgery.
