The COVID-19 pandemic took over the entire world last year and affected several industries all over the world. This included the pro wrestling business, which was severely affected by the pandemic. Several pro wrestlers tested positive for the virus and it resulted in numerous shows being cancelled as well.

Even AEW had its fair share of positive COVID-19 tests last year but with the availability of vaccines, the situation is under control for the most part. Vaccination is also not mandatory in AEW.

The Prudential Center, which is the venue of the January 5th edition of AEW Dynamite, is situated in Newark, New Jersey. The official Twitter of the arena has announced a more tightened COVID-19 guideline.

NEW POLICY: Masks will now be required for all guests for each event.  This policy will go into effect starting with today’s Trans-Siberian Orchestra shows. Full policy at http://prucenter.com/safety

WWE and AEW will continue to combat COVID-19 in any way they can and that is what matters in the end. We can only hope that the pandemic will slow down and cease to be an issue, but it might be a long time until that happens.
