AEW has a few stables on their roster, and the Blackpool Combat Club is certainly getting a lot of attention. With a big Blood & Guts match coming up later this month in Boston, AEW fans will see a lot from them. Only time will tell if they see a new member as well.

Wheeler Yuta recently shared his thoughts on potential candidates who he believes would be excellent additions to the Blackpool Combat Club. Yuta, along with Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, and Claudio Castagnoli, formed a close-knit faction with a shared goal of nurturing the next generation of wrestlers.

During an interview with SEScoops, Yuta was asked about the potential expansion of the group and the possibility of welcoming new members.

“Leyla Hirsch, Jamie Hayter could be great fits. It’s great we’re having (Konosuke) Takeshita fight alongside us. I’m not entirely sure if we would call him an official member.”

“Being able to fight alongside him though has been awesome. Same with Shota Umino.”

“Being able to fight alongside him and in New Japan Strong. There are great people to bring into the fold.”

While no new members have joined the group since the inclusion of Claudio Castagnoli in June 2022, the Blackpool Combat Club has expressed a desire to create more stars in their own image. This has sparked speculation about potential new recruits in the future. If they add a female to their ranks, then that might make sense.

We will have to see how AEW books the Blackpool Combat Club from this point on. If they add a female to their stable, then it very well could create an opportunity for a lot of stories down the line.

AEW is doing their best to book toward the future, but are they doing a good job? Sound off in the comments!
