If you didn't watch Monday Night RAW, or didn't see what happened, Chris Jericho was terminated at the hands of Dolph Ziggler in a contract vs. contract match towards the end of the night. It was sad to see him go, but there's more to Jericho and you can bet on every shiny nickel you have that he'll be back even better. Now, this is something that people don't seem to notice, but his absence from WWE is only for his Fozzy tour. He's not completely gone. You Jericoholics can sleep at night.
Now I'd love to see him return and win the Royal Rumble. People will say that Barrett should be his opponent for a World Title match if this were to happen. False. Who then? Christian? False. Rhodes? False. Sheamus? False, false false. It should be none other than Dolph Ziggler, folks. He should cash it in between now and the Royal Rumble.
A returning and rekindled feud.
Ziggler cashes in, maybe at the Royal Rumble on Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, Wade Barrett, whoever the champion at the time is. He celebrates and walks out smelling nothing but sweetness in the air. Then when nobody expects it, Jericho returns as the #30 entrant and wins the Royal Rumble for the first time. After he wins, he picks up the mic and says "This isn't over, Dolph." and leaves to his music as the show goes off the air.
We'll see how things play out as Ziggler has yet to cash in his case. If what I predict happens, however, I believe we're looking to a Ziggler vs. Jericho Final Stand at Wrestlemania 29. Tell me in the comments if you would like to see that, and what type of match it should be.
There's one example of how Jericho may return. What other ways could he come back stronger than ever?
1. Randy Orton and Jericho, I believe, had a short feud in the early year of 2008. Where Jericho was the face, Orton the heel. Maybe a turn for the roles to be reversed and see if Orton can improve his promos as a face?
2. The Undertaker and Jericho. I'd love to see Jericho return at the Royal Rumble to only be cheated a win at the hands of The Undertaker. Lights go out, you hear a slam, lights come on. Jericho's out cold and gets thrown over the top rope by whoever the "over" star is at the time. Punk? Cena? Miz? Barrett? Regardless, Jericho could set up a match at Wrestlemania against the streak.
3. Wade Barrett and Jericho. Same as the Ziggler situation I went into detail about above, but with no Money in the Bank, obviously. And no rekindled feuds. Just starting fresh with a Veteran and his former Rookie on NXT Season 1.
Anyway, those are the ways I would see Y2J coming back in FULL FORCE. The Best in the World at Everything He Does is truly that! I don't doubt it if he comes back to a big finale from the WWE for all his hard work in the company.
Thanks for reading. I'll be writing again on Saturday. Leave me some ideas and feedback.
