What's Next for Kane After His Feud with Cena Is Over?
by Lil Jimmy
John Cena and Kane have been in a very personal feud over the past several weeks, which has seen the leader of the Froot Loop troop on the receiving end of beatings and scare tactics by the Big Red Monster.
Kane has made the feud even more personal by involving Cena's buddy Zack Ryder. As a result of Kane, Ryder ended up losing the US title after being forced to fight while injured as well as being taken out of action with a (storyline) broken back.
We have seen Cena get frazzled before, but never on the ass end of a feud like this. The WWE seems to be setting themselves up for Cena to do one of two things, which include either overcoming Kane's attempts to turn him to the dark side or finally embracing the hate.
There are those who say a Cena heel turn is simply impossible. However, with the consensus being that The Rock will probably get the bigger ovation at WrestleMania anyway, they may as well have Cena go in as a heel.
In my opinion, it is unlikely that Cena will turn heel, but you never know what the WWE is planning. Kane's fate after the feud is a little less solid.
With The Rock being Cena's focus going into WrestleMania, it would leave Kane without an angle. That being said, if The Undertaker is coming back any time soon, we could see the Brothers of Destruction enter into a feud.
An argument could be made that Kane should be Undertaker's next WrestleMania opponent. Since returning, Kane has been the most entertaining he has been in years. I think if he or Taker are planning on hanging up their boots after this year, this would be a great way to do it.
Kane deserves some kind of angle for WrestleMania at the very least. Lumping him into the Money in the Bank ladder match would not do anyone any good unless he wins again.
Another possibility I could see is an alliance between Kane and Undertaker. I think a heel Undertaker is something the WWE could really use right now.
He has not really been a heel in years, but he is one of the best when he is the bad guy in the match. Indeed, it would be a surprise to many fans if he came out one night and cut a heel promo on the fans and aligned with Kane.
If the WWE wants to do a repeat of last year and have him face Triple H, having Taker and Kane try to usurp control of the company might be a possible storyline as well.
Whatever the end result of the match at the Royal Rumble is, Kane needs something to do afterwards. Cena has plans heading into Mania, we just need to find out what they have in store for Kane.
