Is A.W.'s Release Really Bad for Anyone? (Part One)
by DokFreeez
My name is DokFreeez. I'm new here. HI EVERYBODY!
First off, I am one of the many that stands behind A.W. I remember when WWE’s version of ECW was cancelled I was hoping and praying that The Abraham Washington show would just move to Smackdown. That could have opened it up to such a wide variety of guests. Maybe not the World Heavyweight Champion since, at the time, it was The Undertaker. But shortly after that the title was held by Chris Jericho, and a Jericho-Washington segment would have been spectacular. That being said, I was very excited to see A.W. appear on my TV again. I “marked out,” if you will. I have an appreciation for these performers that can kill the microphone, so it always disappoints me to see someone be punished for doing such. But as Chris Jericho recently tweeted, “It’s a drag. But this isn’t the attitude era anymore.”
Now, the Prime Time Playas – Titus O’Neil and Darren Young – are without their manager. Many are seeing this as a bad thing, but I want you to really think about this. As entertaining as A.W. is, his role was essentially being obnoxious and drawing heat to the PTPs. They were already doing that, as they come out dancing to their entrance music in their bright-ass trunks, talking about “Millions of dollars, billions of dollars.” Much like A.W.’s ringside commentary, it is really hard to ignore something like that.
Now the task at hand is completely on the Prime Time Playas, and I think this can be good for them. Now it is all eyes on them. And I don’t know about you, but I will be anxiously waiting to see them on their own tonight on Raw. There is no manager at ringside distracting the attention of viewers and commentators alike. I was always on the fence about letting A.W. talk from ringside. As I said, it was entertaining, but it kind of became a battle between him speaking and the commentators trying to speak over him. A.W.’s intro in their entrance could easily be replaced. I mean, give the mic to one of the PTPs and let them go through the whole “Money makin’ scholars” thing. They could even add a soundclip of it to their entrance music (e.g. “Yo yo yo, it’s Shad Gaspard and JTG. It’s Cryme Time! Brooklyn, Brooklyn! *hood dance*”) Titus can still pull out the afro-pick and fix up Darren’s ‘fro mid-match. One of them can still harass Kofi/Truth/Epico/Primo/Rosa while the other is wrestling.
In short, it is time for the Prime Time Playas to sink or swim on their own, and I think they are more than capable of swimming without A.W. as their flotation device.
So what do you think? Will PTP be fine without A.W.? Will they lose their push entirely? Is this all just a work? *cough* DanielBryanNecktie *cough* Let me know!
You all should be hearing from me daily. Tomorrow shall be about tonight's Raw. Then Wednesday will see Part 2 of this, which will focus on A.W.'s side.

Mainly because they NEEDED that mouthpiece...that needed an entertaining advocate...they need someone to speak on their behalf because without him, they're a watered down Cryme Tyme.
What's the difference?
Cryme Tyme...
1) Right now it's just a meaningless placeholder title compared to the times..successful by title reign...
