After Raw 1,001, new Raw GM AJ Lee has started off on the right foot, booking three good matches for the night; a street fight between Daniel Bryan and Sheamus, a tag team match between Chris Jericho/Christian vs. Dolph Ziggler/The Miz, and a No. 1 Contender's Match between John Cena and Big Show to determine who would face Punk at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship.
AJ then came out to book the WWE Championship match, which will be a triple threat match between champion CM Punk, John Cena, and Big Show. From my perspective, I'd say AJ had a good first night and give her the thumbs up, but the question I pose is, can she keep the momentum going?
For the past ten years, Raw has seen its share of general managers. Everyone from guest hosts like Pee Wee Herman, Bob Barker, Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne, Eric Bischoff, William Regal, an anonymous GM (turned out to be Hornswoggle), and even being tortured through the "Mike Adamle Era", is it possible that Raw has found a stable GM for the future? Booking a major main event for SummerSlam sure has put her in good terms in my book.
Now ultimately, creative has the final decision on how AJ's GM role turns out. It can be as good as Eric Bischoff, or as dismal as Mike Adamle. So WWE Creative, the ball is in your court on this one, so please don't screw it up.
