Possibly, she could be the worst GM in history next to Mike Adamle. I know you guys are like how can you say that, you haven't even gven her a chance, blah blah blah. Listen I've been a wrestling fan for a long time, and in that time I've kinda learned a bit about the business. Not like from an executive's point of view but from a fans point of view.
*In Jennifer Hudson voice* "And I am telling you" as a fan, that this might not be the right move. I don't plan on AJ being GM for a long time. No one ever is, something always happens. But for the time being, I'm not happy with the decision.
Let me explain why, and these are just my own personal opinions, so don't get all emotional if you disagree. I said my opinions not facts.
1. Her mic skills: they're absolutely horrible. For this role she will get ALOT of tv time and in ring time. Not as a wrestler but just being in the ring period. To pull this off she is going to have to work extra hard. We don't need another Eve, Eve was horrible and we knew that from the get go.
2. Her Gimmick: Now that she is GM, she needs to drop the psycho act. We don't need a crazy GM. I want someone I can take serious. I want someone I can either love to hate or hate to love.
3. Her Connection with the crowd: Besides the whole "YES" thing that she does, she really has no connection with the crowd. I know I don't connect with her at all, and its very important to connect with your audience, they will understand you better.
4. She's not watchable: AJ is not really the one I see bringing in the big ones (ratings). She's not the person I see everyone tuning in every week just to see. She's not the one I see everyone rushing home to see what she's going to do next. To pull this off, you really have to bring it, I mean really bring it, and I just don't think that she can.
I mean what else can I say? I'm just really perplexed at this poor choice for a GM. I know this sounds like a rant, but it's really really not. It's just me voicing my opinion. Now if this were a rant I would have started off like: WHAT THE HECK IS WWE DOING!? AJ? REALLY? SHE SUCKS! blah blah blah. I don't want you to feel like I'm attacking her because I'm not. I'm just just judging WWE's decision. A pick that could have been much better.
Now, back to the topic at hand, I mean you have people like, Stephanie McMahon, Regal, JBL, Vickie G, love her or hate her she is entertainment. The list goes on and out of all the people they could have chosen from they picked AJ. If Vince thinks that this is the right way to go then, Kudos for him. Who am I to tell him how to run his show? No one, exactly. If he didn't, he sure as heck wouldn't have made it to 1000 episodes. But as a die hard fan, i'm just really confused about this, because I know they could have done better.
So, usually when it comes to this type of stuff I absolutely LOVE to be right. I love saying such and such will and won't work and I turn out to be correct. But I'm going to throw a curve ball at you guys and actually say... I hope she proves me wrong, I really do. I hope she makes me take back everything i've said and throws the curve ball right back and shows me she can make this work. But it won't be easy, she's going to have to work extra hard to change such a pessimistic mind such as mines.
And I know some of you might be thinking "Well, wow you kinda just bashed the poor girl and now you're on her side?..that's weird". Well what can I say? i'm a pretty weird girl myself, and no i'm not on her side but I will give her a chance. But she's going to have to bring it every week, because after about two or three weeks and she hasn't impressed, there's a 9/10 chance that I won't be interested anymore. I will give up all hope and say I was right.
So can the chick pull it off? Am I wrong? or right once again? I don't know, we'll just have to wait and see.
Well, those are just my opinions on things, whats yours? and as always feel happy to disagree.
