Why the hype for Sin Cara?
Sin Cara, seriously???
I know everyone has their wrestlers that they can’t stand, or the ones they don’t like but can at least respect the work they do. Let’s face it, someone like Miz can be seen as the most annoying person on the roster but that is the job he was given. So if he is doing his annoying the living piss out of you then he has done his job. But this blog isn’t about the Miz; it’s about the wrestler whose hype I just can’t figure out. It’s about Sin Cara.
Now I get he was huge in Mexico and for someone who has watched only North American wrestling I can’t really speak to American wrestling but seeing the likes of the Guerrero’s, Mysterio and others through the last 20 years they all seemed to transition well. Sin Cara has not, he botches moves in nearly every match he is in and really it seems the only reason he looks good is that his opposition helps put him over. People who have read Jericho’s second book know of his struggles starting out. He tried bringing his WCW Jericho to WWE and it didn’t work. Jericho did what others did, what Sin Cara hasn’t.........adapted.
Then there are his injuries and suspensions, I won’t argue the WWE wellness policy as it is something they felt they needed to implement, and I know you can’t blame a guy if he gets injured. But why is he getting the same hype every time he comes back?
I think Sin Cara being used the way he is, which seems to be the next big thing of the high flyers that other talented guys such as Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel are being held back. There has been lots of talk about WWE pushing certain talent or even investing in some talent more than others. If the company wasn’t invested in these people they wouldn’t be on WWE TV, or NXT, or FCW. So WWE is invested in its talent it is just a matter of when and how they are used.
Maybe it’s just that Mysterio grew old and Sin Cara seems to be the next Mysterio. I would love to see them in a mask vs. mask match with the addition being if they lose they leave the WWE.
Oh yeah what’s up with the stupid lighting during his matches??

Sin Cara should just do the same. Of course would he botch moves if he always has to do those unnecessary stunt moves. T...
