Quick Picks for Tonight's Bound for Glory PPV
Tonight TNA will present it's annual Bound for Glory pay-per-view event. Here are my quick picks for tonight's event:
No DQ Match for the TNA World Heavyweight Title
AJ Styles vs. Bully Ray
This match has been one year in the making for AJ Styles. Last year he lost a match with the stipulation stating that he would be unable to receive a TNA World Heavyweight Championship match for up to one years time. Believe it or not, TNA actually stuck to their guns on that stipulation. One-year later, AJ Styles is getting a shot at the title. Expect him to leave with the championship tonight, it's the only logic move. Expect to see a Dixie Carter vs. AJ Styles feud following.
Ultimate X for the TNA X Division Title
Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Sabin vs. Austin Aries vs. Samoa Joe vs. Manik
Still not sure why Jeff Hardy is needed in this match. Having him win would be probably some of the worst booking in the history of professional wrestling. We not really the worst, but close to it. TNA has done a terrible job with this match build. I didn't even know who was the X-Division champion. I had to look it up, and see that Manik now holds the title. This title gets around like a Taxi cab in New York. I think in the past 6 months, 3 of the guys in this match has held it. My prediction is Manik will retain, as this title is not very important, and the competitors in this match are somewhat TNA midcard/main event talent, aside from Manik. Manik winning would help solidify him more as a serious competitor.
TNA Knockouts Title Match
Brooke vs. Gail Kim vs. ODB
Apparently ODB has been Knockouts champion. Has anyone noticed? No, probably not. Expect her title reign to end tonight, and be put around Brooke. Why Brooke? Easy, dat ass.
Pre-show Gauntlet Match
Daniels & Kazarian vs. Joseph Park & Eric Young vs. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez vs. Robbie E and Jessie Godderz
This match here seems like it was put together to include a majority of most the wrestlers that no one gives a shit about. The only logic winners would be Daniels and Kazarian.
TNA Tag Team Title Match
Winners of pre-show vs. Gunner and James Storm
As mentioned earlier, Daniels and Kazarian will most likely win the pre-show match and move onto wrestling for the tag team championship. Not really sure what TNA has in mind for their tag-team division or even if they really have one left. Anyways, James Storm and Gunner will probably drop the titles tonight.
Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode
Kurt Angle returns tonight in action after his stint in rehab. I can't wait. This match has had a decent build, but could of been a little better given more time. Probably will be one of the matches of the night. Kurt Angle looks to be in a great shape. My prediction here is Kurt Angle wins. Why? Because he just got inducted into their Hall of Fame and it's his first match back.
Sting vs. Magnus
Don't care for either one of these guys. Sting's TNA run has been pretty bad, and Magnus is just as dull as Alberto Del Rio. My prediction here is Sting actually takes one for the team here and lets Magnus get a victory. Expect some "passing of the torch" crap here too, maybe with a post-match "feelings" interview. You smell what I'm cooking?
An appearance by Ethan Carter III
Not sure what they really have planned here. Given the last minute switch to add a last name, he will most likely be involved with Dixie Carter in some fashion.
Well that's it for my quick predictions for the 2013 Bound for Glory pay-per-view. Please leave your feedback in the comment box below.
