Was Damien Sandow the Right Choice to win Money In The Bank?

When Damien Sandow won Money In The Bank, I was pretty surprised. Because at that time, he really hadn't been doing much besides teaming with his Now Former Tag Team Partner, Cody Rhodes. When somebody wins Money In The Bank, you expect their status in WWE to go up, right?

That's not the case (no pun intended) with Damien Sandow. In my opinion, Damien Sandow has gone nowhere since winning Money In The Bank. I'm not exaggerating that. Damien Sandow has only won ONE MATCH on Raw or Smackdown since winning Money In The Bank. And also, not much has changed with Damien Sandow. He's been getting the same amount of heat he got before he won Money In The Bank.

Enter Cody Rhodes. Cody Rhodes was the last one knocked off of the ladder before Damien Sandow won the briefcase. But was the "runner-up" the one who should have really won? After all, Cody Rhodes has won 7 matches on Raw or Smackdown since he lost at Money In The Bank. And also, he has changed drastically. Cody Rhodes went from the heel with no direction, to a face who looks to be destined for greatness. It also seems like Cody Rhodes is becoming more and more popular as the weeks go by.

This poses the question of Was Damien Sandow the right choice to win Money In The Bank? I say yes and no. I say Yes, because we really haven't seen what Damien Sandow can do when he's given the main event spotlight. Maybe he would make a good World Heavyweight Champion. I also say no, because Cody Rhodes is really the only one in that match who's popularity has increased since then. But only time will tell.

I was leaning towards that side of things, but I realized that Damien Sandow really hasn't been given that big of an opportunity to show what he can do. He could end up being a great World Champion, or he could end up being a flop as World Champion (Sadly in Dolph Ziggler's case). So I'm in the midd...

i'm a big fan of Damien's but I would have preferred if cody would have won, if it was anyone else other than Cody as the runner up , I may not care as much.

I enjoy both of these guys in the ring, they're tremendous wrestlers and characters, but it looks like Sandow may have needed it more, than Cody did. Look where Sandow is now. His status in WWE hasn't risen. Cody's status is rising as the weeks come and go. So I dont really know which side to take o...

And when Sandow cashes in everyone will start to see that he was the right choice. Didn't anyone see his promo wi ric flair at the wrestlemania axess thing? He's golden on the mic and sadly isn't given the opertunity to showcase it yet like he should be. Honestly I think that's the thought process b...
